The Prostate Program works with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Robert D. Burk, MD, Professor, Director of The Cancer Genetics Program at White Plains Hospital. He is the Principle Investigator of the Cancer, Longevity, Ancestry and Lifestyle (CLAL) Study. The aim of this study is to identify environmental and genetic factors that may be involved in the development of prostate cancer. The long-range goal of the research is to translate the findings into preventative measures and innovative therapies for the disease.
